"There are no U-turns on the superhero highway." That's what Gar told me the first time he saw me geared up. All you have to do to know the cost is to look at the Hall and all the statues of people that were dead way too soon.

But being an activist means your odds of dying in a comfortable bed aren't great, either. I'm not able to turn my back, unable to walk away from injustice. That's why I was changed in the first place.

I may not agree with everything in the "cape" community, but I know they are good people fighting to make the world safer and more just. That's why I threw my lot in with them.
